Sylvie,

Can you guarantee the expression "French lessons" isn't some kind of euphamism?

There may be a need, my son has been asking for 6 months for lessons to learn French however we have very recently found someone which has been a huge sigh of relief! So there might just be a need out there. Now I'm looking for Italian lessons!!!!!

My name is Daniel - I have recently moved to Bellapais and would be interested in taking private French lessons after Christmas.

Would it be possible to contact me via e-mail at: dwebber23@gmail.com and I can give you further details?

Many thanks

hi silvie i for one think its a wonderful idea, with europe looming over us and the british schools being so multi cultural its hard enough for them to learn to speak english correctly. When we are all classed as european what a great start for children who can converse in many languages, food for though sell the restaurant and teach italian. keep on with your dream as am sure there will be many parents who would encourage thier children not just expats but t/cs as and maybe G/cs as well. In time to come it maybe that this government will have to converse with ministers from europe so having aanguage skill will be a bonus. happy xmas to you and your family. lol lilli xxxxxxxxxx

Pikes answer to the best of my school boy French O level (nearly 40 yrs ago)reads...

"Many on, is me "or "On many, me is "

Either way makes more sense than most of his other comments, especially the second translation !!!!!!!

SYLVIE,the translation to PTEPikes post was based on French learnt at school 40 yrs age and perhaps you can correct as follows...

bien sur = well on

c'est moi = it is me

And finally is Pikey "out of his tree"

Bon soir madame

bachelibelly,

ok, bien sur means : of course - c'est moi means : it is me - that is why i answer him " unless you agree with me " to my previous post saying he was " une tete à claques "
