Congratulations! I wouldn't let this have any impact on your decision. If you don't move now you will probabaly regret it down the line.

hi cathy and paul congrats on the news, this is actually good news for your unborn child because if you were to have the baby in cyprus you could have the possibily of the child having dual nationality depending what sex thou because if its a boy he will be eligable for the national service but on the up side of it the baby can have its i.d card near enuf straight away to start state school much less grief for you and the beauty of that the baby will have two languages which is also a good thing but at the end of the day it all depends if you were to give birth in cyprus or the u.k remember also giving birth in a cyprus hospital is a payable fee where the u.k is done on the n.h.s but the private (even the state) hospital in cyprus are second to none and in my view you get treated much better than you do in the u.k anyway hope this help and congrats once again on the news especially when you thought you could not concieve take care and each other erkan (ukturk)

Congratulations Paul and Cathy, First baby conceived on the forum! What a beautiful Country to bring a baby up in. See if you can get Uturk to knit a baby grow for the forthcoming event, or he will know someone who can!!! Tiggy

Hi all, Congratulations with the baby news!!! If you are planning to move over before the baby is due just be careful as moving abroad can be very stressfulk to begin ith as it is and when your pregnant the last thing you need is added stress and unsettlement! All will work out great either way- Just ensure that wife and baby dont overdo it as it can lead to complications further down the line! Sorry to sound pesimistic - Just giving some advice from 1st hand experience thats all!! Take care-D

Davina, Expectant mothers and unborn babies are quite resilient really. My wife and I moved lock stock & barrel from South Africa back to UK when she was 7 months pregnant. She packed up the house, travelled to Joburg and then the UK along with a 3 year old. I had to follow on a few weeks later, so it can be done. Everyone was fine, so I say don't worry too much. Take it easy when you can, butj ust do whatever you want to. Don't stop just because you're pregnant. Go well MC
