Former Turkish Cypriot leader, Rauf Denktash, has been nominated for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.

members of The UK Parliamentary Friends of Northern Cyprus, a British all-party group campaigning for the formal recognition of the occupied areas, backed the Denktash nomination.

Members include Lord Maginnis of Drumglass and Lord Northwood, while it is reported that several lords, barons and former ministers and MPs supported the nomination.

At Last some good news, it would of been nice if he was still with us to receive it, but to be nonimated must make his family very proud.

I think this comes into the same category as Mick Macarthy for England manager.

Elko2 no it is not just for the living, if you recall mother Calcutta was awarded the award after her death.
