Went to see Bob Dylan about 3 weeks ago in Albany New York and I must admit I had to leave before the end, as he was so bad

i went to see bob dylan last year in birmingham , you were being kind when you said he was bad.it was the worse performance i have ever seen and he seemed downright miserable ,as if he didnt want to be there { i most certainly didnt i nearly lost the will to live } in the end we left too along with more than a few others.

have a good w/e simbas

The only thing that save the whole night was the support act.

Elvis Costello - Class.

Just him on his own along with 3-4 guitars, just sang great song from his catalog.

Elvis Costello, now your talking mate very underrated singer songwriter, seen him a few times, the first time i saw him was on the stiff live tour about 77 i think when he was with the attractions.Alison is still one of my favourite songs. As for Bob dylan, who incidentally i think is an all time great, but unfortunateley now sounds like donald duck. Why do they carry on, sureley he cant need the money,i saw him a couple of years ago and found it embarrassing. He never had a great voice but he managed to carry it off.He must know that he sounds like ****(one for tiggy)why do the greats carry on for too long people like bobby charlton muhammad ali etc.

Dodger,

I asume some of them carry on cos they ate still great.

I put people like Bowie in this catagory.

Trouble is I think some of them surround themselve with yes men who dare not tell them how bad thet actually are.

I must say though, that Dylans band were excellent, couldn't fault the music itself, it was just the wailing, went straight through me.

And believe me, iv'e seen some bad bands in my time and bad singers, but I think he must be the worst.

And Beverley Knight must be one of the best if not the best, Bowie excepted.

She put so much into that performance, everone was on their feet from the first minutes to the last.

Have a good afternoon

I'm listening to myself playing the guitar.I'm sick of listening to myself playing the guitar.I'd like to listen to someone else playing the guitar drums, fiddle, banjo, ect, but I don't think anyone else does.

John Stewart, tom waites, niel young,

I play the guitar, but it's no fun on your own, would like to meet like minded people, perhaps get a jam session going.

Hi Sporty...I think Shakers bar in Girne does Karaoke. I've never actually been there but I know the bloke who does some of the entertainment there and I am sure he does the old sing song stuff!!

Incidentally, I do know of someone who could probably provide a professional karaoke service for you if you were having a party/bash at home or at a private venue. Drop me a line if you want more info.

Happy singing!
