Hiya,

I am moving to North Cyprus (Kyrenia/Nicosia area) in January and will be looking for work.

Ideally i dont fancy travelling to the South side everyday and i know in the North its more word of mouth.

If anyone knows of any jobs going could you please email me on nickyb1980@yahoo.co.uk .

I dont mind what. I have over 10 years customer service experience and also admin experience.

Thank You

Unfortunatley you will be joing an already extending list of unemployed.

Remember to work here you need to start your own business, very expensive, or find an employer willing to fund a work permit for you. As there are plenty of unemployed Cypriot and Turkish people seeking bar retaurant work. As for admin work, most jobs will likely insist on a minimum working knowledge of Turkish.

I believe there is a thread on this forum or one of the others detailing work permit requirments just reduced, sorry I do not know where. I stand to be corrected on the date but may be 1st January when work permits will not be issued to new applicants.

Nicky, you really need to trawl all the forums etc here for info. If you do get a job I think we would be pleased to here from you but I fear you are on a hiding to nothing.

Perhaps you could try some of the real estate agencies as from time to time they advertise for admin staff and sales vacancies so may be worth a punt contacting a few.
