Think that was the point NO1

I thought it was coming into force in 2010, however i was in a cafe the other day and there was a poster advertising No smoking from January 2009.

I thought that restaurants/bars had to have a designated smoking area from 01/09 and then the full ban would come into force from 01/10.

Tonni...I smoked for 52 yrs bfore having to give it up and the first thing you notice when your sense of smell returns, is how terrible smokers smell.I had to have all my suits etc dry cleaned. Before they banned smoking in the uk when I came out of a pub/restraunt my wife and I stunk of tobbaco smoke.Best thing that ever happened to the UK,,,,

hi all we have totally banned smoking at GUIDOS and whilst i feel so very sorry for the smokers of which i am one we felt we had no choice, we ae not sure of the laws and we dont hae a seperate room with ventilation only the bar area wit h the door open. I have to say however that most people are happy with it and the air is cleaner, we had to stop because the deli area is at the front and even though its all covered no way do we want to have smoke surrounding it. I Am really sorry to all our smoking customers but please bear wiith us on this we will get you mushroom heaters and i take a selection of pasminas every night for the benefit of all, i know many of you have said to me I cant bear to leave him/her alone whilst i go for a fag but we have to do it. I want to thank you all for going with us on this. we are working fo a cleaner future and i know as i have been told i am taking away your rights beleive me i stand on both sides of this but its for all our sake thank you all lilli

I hang my head in shame, I didn't think to check. Still, Tonni's not too bothered by the look of things!

I think there is wider scope here for banning other anti-social practices.

1: Vegetarians. They are mostly pasty, weedy and have bad hair! They should be made to eat their 'nut-roasts' in seperate areas! Oh, and they fart a lot,.. I hate going home with their smells on my clothes!

They don't realise that all livestock from chickens, sheep, pigs, to cattle, are all basically vegetarian, so there is nothing wrong in eating them.

2: 1000% Duty should be applied to any product containing Soya or Tofu!

3: Vegans should be refused entry at Ercan and sent home!

Off for a bacon buttie and fag!

Message 22,

Your points: -

1) Not only smelly, - dangerous! - do you realise how inflammable methane is?

- Also quite agree - I make a point of only eating animals that were vegetarians

2) Sorry, got abit confused on this one, I thought it said Soyer and Toffee!

3) Vegans should have a Visa issued by the TRNC embassy on the planet VEGA.

Keith.

Keith is right the adage is "you are what you eat" ergo, if you only eat vegetarians it is axiomatic that you too must be a vegetarian...

I was at school with a load of 'nutloafers'; always off sick with this and that...

NB "this and that" is a particularly pernicious ailment that develops into full-blown 'Man-Flu technical name Influenza Vir' when you are about 25... ;¬)

To be honest I thought Vegans were already refused entry on the basis that they are too mentally unstable even for the TRNC! ;¬)

Looked out of the window tonight, thunder lightning and heavy rain. the dirt tracks have magically turned from wonderful dust bowls to mud quagmires. Ban smoking ,there is more health hazards from the dust over here!

I remember all the smokers saying it would empty the pubs in the UK. Certainly where I live more no smokers now go in to them. Great decision

Rob. I remember Jennifer of the 'two fat ladies'' once saying; ''you can tell who is a vegetarian because they are always so bl**dy miserable!
