Watching world weather news this morning and I couldnt believe my eyes when they showed LAS VEGAS under 5" of snow....People who had been the casinos during the night in shorts and tee-shirts looking at this blizzard blowing wondering if they had woken upin the middle of a bad dream...

Thats nothing coachie, i have spotted people is shorts and vest tops in Girne high street this morning. Now that is brave, its bloody freezing today. TOURISTS!!

It has been known Bill in the past few years back here in cold old UK.Plus when your an old f.... like me your blood is a bit thinner so you need a little extra protection....

For Breezyboy. I have lived here for 22years, but had a house here 28 years. There was not a proper road from Girne - Karsyaka. One car had to pull over to let the other pass. Also if you left Girne you came to the Deniz Kizi, then Mare Monte, into Lapta to the Celebrity and then Rita on the Rocks - that was it. Oh the Veranda opened ijn 1988. I used to have to go into Girne to pick up bread for The Rocks because they said they only delivered as far as Celebrity - I was 500 yards past it. Hundreds of stories about living here in 1987. My first posting and I enjoy comments on different subjects.
