I bought a house in Kyrenia last October. I went to the water board in Kyrenia, and filled a form in requesting that the water supply be temporarily cut off. I was told that there would be no standing charge whilst there was no water supply. I have learnt that there are now outstanding water bills at the house for monthly standing charges. Does anyone know if this is correct. I would like to telephone to try to get this sorted out as I am not coming over until May. I would be really grateful for a contact telephone number and, equally important, the name of a person who speaks good English.

last time i went in person to them 3 months ago i was told you could no longer do this and had to pay all the time previously i had been able to pay a small charge and not pay till i came back months later.



you may have been caught out by this apparent change in the rules which of course costs us all more
