monthly water meter charge is in Alsancak and

is it the same whether water is used or not.

wimpey, those names are written on your water bill.. they show the amounts before and after the meter was read by the belediyesi.. so the difference between those numbers represent the amount of water that actually flowed through the meter.. in cubic meters.. so by looking at those numbers you can actually see if there is any leak in the pipes in your house..

in the house at the moment and we turned the stop tap off at the meter when we

left last time water should not be going through the meter so the monthly charge

should be 5tl.

It will be 5tl plus some if you have not paid on time.



I believe you can not pay this in advance or so I was told.

if you turned the stop tap off (which is just near the meter) any leaks are impossible.. unless the stop tap is faulty..



do you have access to your water bill? how did you learn that you were charged 11 tl if you are not at the house currently?

Is the 11tl just for the Water ? are you sure you are not paying for bin collection and street lights etc.

i see.. either ways you should see the figures on the bill.. maybe they are in your mailbox.. you wouldnt know what it is untill you see the bill.. I am also paying my bills at Alsancak belediyesi and on my bill monthly rent is stated 5 TL..

Turtle is right.. some additional fees payable to the belediyesi are also added and collected with the water bill.. like some taxes.. but you cannot be sure untill you see the water bill..

Many thanks to all who who advised.I do not think the situation will be solved until I

see the actual bill .Just to confirm I do pay 18tl monthly by direct debit for cop,ayd,sag,and

property tax seperately when requested by the Beledeysi so there should never be any late

payment charge.
