Has anyone else experienced this. I brought a wool rug from Ikea about 3 years ago and since having a disastrous carpet clean there is constantly a massive amount of sand underneath the carpet. Having looked on line it appears other people with carpets from Ikea have had the same problem.

Yes. we had this problem too with a large off white Ikea 100% wool rug purchased 3 years ago. We brought 3 identical ones with us, new, and one just disintigrated into a huge hole and had to be thrown away! The other two seem okay.

There is a whole dustpan full of it every week, probably have to throw the carpet, £230 down the drain.
