A few of you london boys seemed to rejoice in the fact that the teams from gods own city went out of the Champions league at the first stage, I said at the time that you boys would go out embarrasingly at the next stage.I did not imagine it would be that bad though. Goodnight you jessies season over for you lot.

There is a North south split in the UK weather we choose to accept it or not, based upon earnings and many would argue quality of living.

This exemplified very well through football...I remb Keegan going back to Newcastle for the second time and proclaiming he was back in the North where people enjoyed football as opposed to the South where they went to the opera!

Kevan,

Some of us "gobbey Cockneys" are quite happily sitting ten points clear of the scum in third place. With Andre Village Idiot in charge of Chelski, they will be lucky to finish in the top six. Hope I am still so gobbey after Sunday's game..................

As long as Howard Webb is around the results have little to do with Northern and Southern team performances.

Get it right - Chelsea aren't cockneys, they are the West End not the East End! They eat prawn sandwiches at half time not Pie 'n' Mash!!!!

The real Cockney's won 4-1 last night with 10 men and no keeper. UP THE IRONS!!!!

msg 12, George, you are right but I do not think those from "gods own city" know that. The 'scum' are not cockney any more than are Fulham. I guess if you never venture out of the 'Shrine' or 'Wastelands' it is not that surprising.

Much more worrying are reports today that if arry goes in the summer, the "special one" is willing to join Spurs if Daniel "the shrewd one" makes a £50m transfer pot available to him. Higuain at the Lane!!

I have never understood why the divisions have "play offs" for promotion other than it is a money making venture ignoring the fact that it often results in poorer teams over a season's fixtures gaining promotion. This lack of logic must be why the relegated clubs do not have a "play off with the teams above them to avoid relegation. Could become interesting if a team due relegation takes the matter to law on the grounds of discrimination !

George, nice to see you blowing Bubbles.......the ones from the south of cyprus !!

Not many cockneys living in the "Green Street" area these days............Curry and rice at half time more like !!!

mcity, I still remember the "71" Cup winners cup semi finals against city........ 0 - 1 & 1 - 0 to Chelsea !

Do they still ring Collins "BELL" at the new maine rd ?

10 men went to mow...........went to mow and (come on, all join in)

Howdy Clayton, looking good for MU for the title again.

Tiggy

Nice to hear from a chelsea fan that supported them before the Russian took over. Not many of you about then was there.

The bell does not ring any more as the old girl,Helen, sadly died. Now she was a charecter.

What was that cup final that ended up about 5-3 or 4 to Chelsea.

Cheers Clayton, all fine here at the bridge !! I would not rule it out that the chosen one may return. when you win some silverware it is hard to stop wanting more.

Great that the two Manchester clubs are toe to toe for the premiership.

Kevan, it was "The Full Members Cup" City made a great comeback and it ended 5 - 4

Mum and Dad were married in Moss Side, Manchester, Dads sister was married and living there, they moved to East Didsbury later and my other Aunt was married in Chorlton Cum Hardy. One set of the family was blue and the other red.......Always wondered if I had been born in manchester who I would have supported !

Nice to see the North South divide is a load of itr

mcity, time for a reality check,iv no allegience to either side but you've really got to have a reality check;as follows, fergusons spoils

12 premiership titles

10 charity shields

5 fa cups

4 league cups

2 european cups

1 cup winners cup

(pause cos ma fingers are going cramp)

1 super cup

1 intercontinental cup

1 fifa world cup....................and a partridge in a pear tree

enough said really pal,and i hope you get your 1st premiership this season, the fans have earned it,but only a fool would demean alex ferguson(if you cant see all his acheivments use the scroll button)

When or where have I had a go at united, I will have a dig at their so called supporters but I will never havd a go at their achievments over the last couple of decades. If you read my threads I always say the football clubs from gods own city, which means both clubs.

As you rightly say the fans fans have earned this glory (I hope) remember nearly 30,000 in the old 3rd division.

So no I do not need the scroll button, and I think you may be a little biased red scum from say where, Cornwall maybe.

Well let's see what you say now..............not gobbey cockneys, but a London team STILL in the Champions league. Chelsea played well & deserve to be there unlike any of our north of the Watford ( big mouth) gap sides.

Good on yer Chelsea, I didnt fancy them one bit but they did the business last night. Tail between my legs right now just seen Gods own team go out to the Portugese and United went out earlier. So as you rightly point out London 1 Manchester 0.

Hope Chelsea can now win the Champions league.
