the "superpowers" are not what they once were

ok, so russian and american troops linked up at torgau on the elbe in early 1945:

....thus signalling the age of the superpowers



but the ussr imploded by 1990 ...and the americans and especially under obama,

realised their power to control "difficult" regimes was circumscribed eg afghanistan



it's a bit of a cop-out to hold the banks solely responsible for the world financial crisis

instead think lack of competitiveness, desperate borrowing, profligate governments

and a feeble lack of proper regulation



now what we need in cash-strapped europe is a union of all states to enable the old

girl to again be powerful in the world, just like in colonial times

Three year ago our landlord said we had our villa for as long as we wished,he would not be back unless world war '' Three '' were to break out. Well for sure I smiled.



Not today though when you look at the state of the world and the wars that are going on in it. I have plenty of link and new's updates,but I fear posting them all



Its very near about to happen from what I can see from my little laptop and our only BBC world new's.



As always I am up to the minute with all incoming information.and today I fear it is all very near to happen.



All I can do is await each day,and depend on my God to look after all I care for.
