It has been announced that Frank Carsom (commediene) died tonight. aged 85

I met him a few times at Dublin Airport.



He was formerly Mayor of Balbriggan a town in North County Dublin - this was the serious side of the very nice gentleman.



May he rest in peace.

Lived down the road from me in Blackpool, he would pop to the shop for a paper and end up doing stand up and telling jokes. Did a lot for charity and had time for everybody. One of lifes true gents just an ordinary guy.

I just put commediene into google & it came up with a bloke called Frank Carson who died...........is this the same person as Frank Carsom who diad.

A comedienne is the correct English word for a female comedian, used before the days of political correctness. Sad to hear about Frank Carson, a very nice and genuine man we had the good fortune to meet several times whilst in Eire.
