Hi ,Ive been looking for logs,i got quoted 450 tl for 2 ton of logs,when i queried price i was informed that they were olive tree logs,a lot better quality and longer burn times,is this true or am i being scammed,cheers

we have found olive needs to dry for a year then it burns beautifully



we have burnt fresh cut and it is still ok olive is always more expensive then fruit tree wood etc

still woundnt pay that for 2 ton

It is true that olive wood is the best, burns longer and doesn,t leave sticky residue. The price you have been quoted is reasonable, our local wood seller has lots of regular satisfied customers, and he charges 300tl per ton.

Just a quick word of warning because of the amount of un licensed wood sellers the forestry have cracked down big time. Legitimate business owners used to be able to renew their license every month, it then went down to weekly now they have to get permission for each load, the reason is there are too many people just chopping down healthy trees and selling the wood.

This is fact because the man we help not only sells wood but he also works for the forestry.

Might become short supply so be prepared to pay extra.
