Twice in a matter of weeks the Daily Mail have written some great things about the TRNC. There is no mention of a "Turkish Invasion", just the truth that it was in response to a Greek military coup.

Lets hope the positive comments keep on coming.

Let us hope they will also report the property/legal scams as well!

I hate to say this, but started reading the article and thought it sounded familiar. Sure enough, it was "last updated" on 10 February and is sponsored by Anatolian Sky, which, in my opinion, makes it an advertising feature.

There's nothing wrong, of course, in painting NC in a positive light, just so long as we realise that it's NOT a piece of straightforward journalism about TRNC.

loobie444 - sorry to have burst your bubble

Still - no such thing as "bad publicity" - well, so they say, anyway

As usual negative comments - the Brits in general can never be positive and look forward. It seems to be the norm to look backwards. I personally think the Cypriots have done a great job in getting to where they are now with very little support and any publicity like the mail has given must be encouraging.

whether an advert of not - does it matter it is large scale publicity. It didn't come over as an advert to my daughter as she emailed it to me and was quite pleased they were getting publicity.

Our comments were not negative, just an observation! Or is that now not permitted by the mods or yourself Isabella!

Agree with Isabella, the article dosn't look like an advertisment, even so, the mentioning of the Greeks with a military coup and that the Turkish just intervened makes people realise that maybe there is more than one side to the story and any good publicity, (advert or not) is good
