That must be a great memory newlad (supporting The Smiths I mean). My fav gig(s) was seeing Morrissey at the Palladium in 2006 (went 3 times). Looking forward to seeing him again next May at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.

Joan re- Mess 18,

Looking back it certainly was.But at the tim the Smiths where just a band starting out like we where. They made it big time we made it very small time. The week after at the same venue we headlined and were supported by the Housemartins.Happy days or should that be "Happy Hour".

I too have seen Morrisey in concert,in fact have been playing some of his stuff this morning.Look out for Jonny Marrs new stuff its great,

Paul

Shakira in the Emirates palace Abu Dhabi this New Years eve, be there or be square, tickets on sale now. Should be a good one as she's putting on a special one time gig (is that what they call them now a days).

Dont stay in the Emirates Palace as the cheapest room on the 31st that i could get was 8000 which is around about 1500 quid a night, Plenty of cheaper ones near by though

Turtle I loved Del Amitri. Whatever happened to them? How about Gene, another fantastic band who are no more. I really regret not getting tickets for their final concert in (I think) 2006.

Muse, Moby, Radiohead, Ian Brown, Chemical Brothers, Kula Shaker, Faithless, Turin Brakes are all brilliant live.
