Whilst I enjoy the British Rock tribute bands, not all expats are in there 50ish+ and British. I would pay good money for an American Rock tribute concert. Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Eagles, Styx, Foreigner (okay British/American), Billy Squier, Fleetwood Mac, even throw in some Southern Rock and 70's... Allman Brothers, Steve Miller Band, Supertramp (yes I know British but big following in States)...

Am I alone on this? I currently get my fix from iTunes. But recently thought how much fun it would be to listen to this music in an open forum. Let me know if you are interested in an annual gathering of such tunes and perhaps we can orchestrate an event or small gathering.

Cheers.

Mollycorbin, I know where you are coming from although I am not American, but for a great fix of similar style (totally accept correction) saw barry snakes at the Almond last thursday and he just blew me away with the Eagles and Bon Jovi, Steve Miller, Rainbow, and Santana (the best i had heard including the real Santana at the O2) so if he ever re appears try to get to see him meanwhile look forward to your further suggestions re forum etc.

Thanks for your response. I have not heard the Cyprus legend "Snakes" yet but he and I have been in discussion. I will definitely try to attend his next gig. I hope we can find an interest in this. I do not miss the politics but I do miss the music! There MUST be others.

Fleetwood Mac were more British than American... Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie all British.
