| Yorgozlu wrote in an unrelated thread: “What is happening in Syria is only happening because the so called westernised/big world WANTS it or at least chunk a of it.They are now sitting and watching/waiting for the country to weaken itself by the day...............then they'll jump in for so called AID.................and stay in there until they get what they want................always have been and always will be this way................all the while human nature exists. :(“ I’ll stand corrected, but The last time I looked, the Russian Federation and China were in the East! unless of course you’re attempting to claim that it’s ‘western principals’, whatever they may be, that were the basis of the RF/China veto to the last UN resolution, resulting in the escalation in the current conflict in Syria?! Well, I believe the truth to be closer to Political Domination rather than ‘Westernised’ values, between them... |

| ...The RF and China, educate the Syrians, train and equip their armed forces, provide utilities and associated infrastructure in Syria, they have also built port facilities at the Mediterranean coastal ports of Latakia and Tartus to service the Russian Mediterranean Fleet, the RF and China have far too much to lose in Bashar, as an ally in the region to allow a Syrian Arab Spring. And let’s not forget Iran in this bigger marriage of convenience with Syria and Hezbolla! Their Shi’ite brothers will be watching with great interest, the developments in the Syrian conflict, IMHO, the Western powers of the UN should take a big step back from this conflict and allow it to run it’s course, what started as a Syrian Arab Spring is now being reported as a civil war, it’s a Political and Religious minefield and the stuff of potentially a far greater conflict. East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet. Wise words from Kipling. |
