Do the dance group from GAU attend?

If not, you should consider them for this year.

They did a support act at the Bobby Davro show in Girne a couple of years ago and are very talented.

From the schools a competition for a festival King and Queen. Let the kids and teachers nominate a boy and girl from each school and then have another competition to appoint the winners. The runners up could be attendants!

Just a thought.

That is a lovely idea Chris and will really involve the children which has to be important.

Not enough to just look for the pretty children, there will be children out there who have been particularly brave, or who have gone the extra mile to help neighbours or to help with integration etc.

You will need a stand to demonstrate the many advantages to foreigners of living in Lapta.

In particular you should showpiece the wonderful time the K5 are having, how happy they are and how wonderful it is to live under the protection of the law here.

Tidy up the litter and make repairs to the roads instead of laying all the block pavements which no one uses!

My heart goes out to you Berke as you are trying to be helpful, to promote Lapta, the island, tourism, community and all the good things, and asking us to be involved, and what do you get in return/ some unnecessary comments and off topic 'insults'. But please stick to your guns and keep them blazing for all the good things. some of us are right behind you and want you to be encouraged to carry onworking hard to bring off what sounds to be the best Lapta festival to date.

And |I KNOW I speak for others, as we have been discussing it all. good luck.

good for you Marion, I agree, I have had issues with the beledesi, and would never ever discuss it on this forum.. but Berke, please keep up the good work.

Last year we had just the best evening during the Lapta festival, and us, as a family, with quite a few friends, are really looking forward to this years event.

Thank you

Just remember, compliments and good news are hard to share, insults and bad news spread like wildfire.

There are enough sensible people who live in Lapta & the surrounding areas who could perhaps meet up, I don't mean as a committee, just as a group of like minded people & see what ideas you can come up with. As we will be over then I look forward to coming along & enjoying the festival.

Paul
