For people who do not trust (my) shortened URL's: you can check them by putting a -sign behind the shortened URL.

For instance: http://is.gd/O2OQM7- and http://is.gd/QBrBqA- .There's nothing secret about them!

@ msg 6, NitwitNick: At the moment we have to live with bad weather and people like you. What an extremely sad state of mind to sit down in front of a keyboard - only to write more rubbish! I pity you.

Ah!

So it is not free. There is a charge. So it is a business.

DC

As has been asked many times by many people, with every justification:

Do you have a work permit?

Do you have a business permit?

Are you paying your taxes?

The phone number for tip-offs to the Police was in last Saturdays Cyprus Today. And that's all İ'm going to tell *you* about the background of the "Medieval Cyprus eMagazine".

P.S. With the help and advice from friends in KITREB (official Tourist Guides Association) we have applied for subsidy from the government. I'll keep you informed.

@ msg 15, NN: (...) shakespere never had these problems.... (...)

Unfortunately he doesn't write for the MC eMagazine. But he would have known how to spell his name. Never write about things you only 'know' from hearsay, Nick.

Now back on topic, OK?

After announcing today the on line Medieval Cyprus eMagazine on C44, Facebook and two bulletin boards in foreign languages - in European countries where reading a foreign language, English, is not a problem - the count of downloads is now almost 1200! Great!

Tomorrow I'll target tourist boards in the USA and Canada. Saturday it will be Australia.

Next week two TV interviews and one radio interview are on the agenda.

Not bad for 'a business' without a work permit...

It's been a good day! The MC eMag was generally received well and the praise in several emails to mcf.trnc@gmail.com almost made me blush.

There was a small problem for some to open links in the eMag, but it turned out to be only a problem of a slow connection.

A BIG problem is that reading on line and downloading the eMag from my website didn't make my provider very happy. Too bad. Monday next week I'll activate a new domain name [ mcf-emag.xxx ] to control the downloading, which now made my history website almost inaccessible.

Thank you all for your kind words and support!

P.S. @ msg 4, GinaC: It's PayPal only (as stated in the eMag). But, hopefully, with some help from certain TRNC sources, it'll be a free eMag forever.

ERRATUM.

=========

Two readers (one British gentleman and one Cypriot Turkish lady) of the "Medieval Cyprus eMagazine" found and informed me about an error on page 13, first paragraph, which read: "The castle, which was not used by the Venetians between 1498 and 1571, was subjected to the same fate between 1571 and 1578 by the Ottomans."

This paragraph should read: "The castle, which was not used by the Venetians between 1498 and 1571, was subjected to the same fate between 1571 and 1878 by the Ottomans."

I have corrected this error in the on-line version of the "Medieval Cyprus eMagazine" and in the downloadable version.

My thanks to both readers!

@ msg 20, AngelaT: Thank you, glad you liked the first issue! At noon today there are subscribers from 17 countries - most of them from the UK, TRNC, the Netherlands and Germany.

@ msg 22, setpot: Your list is not complete by far! I also write touristic stories for newspapers and magazines (on line and on paper) in and about foreign countries (where foreign = not Dutch). And I don't pay taxes to the TRNC taxman - why would I? The Dutch taxman is quite happy with me since I started working as a journalist when I was 23. And later, when I started my own graphics business, the Dutch taxman kept an eye on me again.

So, please, next time publish a complete list of my crimes now that I informed you.

Back on topic. OK?

Absolute rubbish as you know.

You have been here for years. Either you are resident here, have a work permit, a business permit or are illegal. There is no other status for you to be.

You don't have a business permit or a work permit and you surely don't claim to be illegal so you must be resident.

You are a resident and you are working here. No amount of lies about the Dutch taxman etc. will help you. But just to help you clear this up I will copy this and send it to the Dutch tax authorities as well as the TRNC tax authorities and TRNC immigration. Let them sort it out.

After all your abuse of people on here calling them liars etc. and now we see who the big liar is - Hans Dolerman. What a joke.

Your crimes. Working in the TRNC without a work or business permit. Tax evasion in the TRNC

@ msg 25, setpot: Your continued interest in me is flattering. But if you write to the Dutch taxman or call the tip off line in TRNC: spell my name right, please. It's not "Hans Dolerman" but Hans Doeleman. Happy grassing - you make me laugh.

Personal vendettas are not welcome on this board as you have already been told previously (under another name). I guess you and Hwilde must be joined at the hip.

oh I see setpot set about you too DC, well s/he really went for me and earned a lifetime ban. I wonder who it really is? Thoroughly nasty piece of work whoever h/she is and quite clearly a sandwich short of a picnic. I have no doubt it will return in another guise.

Seem to think I was someone else, deluded or what?
