Firstly thank you very much for the wonderful support from so many people. Some of your posts have been sooooooooooo funny.



Wynyardman as asked me about being Mayor of Cradley Heath, If I get to wear a big chain and drive around in and old black stretched Daimler I may consider it.



I think it was Cradley Heath were my Grt .and Grt .Grt. grandad made the chain for the Titanic. (37 pints of beer during a shift)



To R.A. Denise, I hope you will not mind me asking you this on the Froum . You told me a story about your dad, you also sent me a photo.



You may not think it relevant to what has happened the last few weeks, but you have been at the centre of it and I feel at times some unpleasant things have been said about you.



I think what you told me about your dad has a lot to do with the sort of person you are.



I feel people should have an insight into this.

Anyone who has known Denise for any period of time will think themselves fortunate, she has worked very hard on this island for many years. has 2 children to be very proud of and to top it all she is admired by all her friends whom know her. I am one of those. She stuck her neck out about something she felt passionate about and I salute her for this. Denise, times are changing I am afraid and it is not like it used to be here, more's the pity. Keep up the good work and s.. the rest of them.

Thanks so much D. We have known each other a long time and we both worked hard here for many years......and played hard too ! Your words mean a lot to me, given from someone I respect.



Tommy please feel free to post that pic of my Dad.



I am so proud of him. I am off to Old Blighty in the morning to celebrate his 91 st Birthday with him and all the family this Sunday.



So I might be a bit quiet for a few days.....but I will be back !

Parkview, Ditto, Ditto,Ditto. Jan and I only had the pleasure of meeting her recently. But we admire her greatly. One hell of a Lady.

It would just be good if R.A. could tell us a little bit more because she was explaining to me about her Dad whom dhe is extremley proud of being a P.O.W. in Japan and the marvellous work he has done since bearing no grudges and trying to move on and has been awarded the MBE.
