Can anyone tell me what time the insurance booth closes at the border. We land at larnaca about 9 in the evening, we are hiring a car at the airport.

I am pretty sure they will be closed by then. Friend went to pick his wife up from a flight landing about then and they were closed by 8pm.

Msg 1 - ask your car hire company to get your insurance for TRNC. If they will not, change to Petsas, who will and they are on-line. It costs €35 for a month (minimum period), which includes a €10 handling fee, but you have peace of mind.

We arrived near to 11 30 the passport people went to the chaps house and he came out and did the insurance.

If the car hire company gets it for you, it will not matter which crossing point you use or what time you actually arive there. Flights are, on some days, subject to delays because of air traffic controllers' industrial action. Where is your destination in the TRNC and do you know how to get there?
