I wish I had.... seem to get them around Christmas time only (or am I shopping in the wrong places)?

timefor I always use the big red raddishes instead of swede, ie mashed with carrot or in pasties and find they are very tasty. As for sprouts and parsnips - only around Xmas time. Maybe you could plant your own parsnips as I know they grow here but the sprouts do need frost to make them taste nicer.

Supreme had fresh sprouts a couple of weeks ago and they looked quite nice. Never seen parsnips or swede, unfortunately.

I can confirm msg 7- they had fresh sprouts outside supreme last week.Have you tried Colokos as a swede replacement-They are not dissimilar, and make great oven chips-A little like sweet potatoes.

What is the veggie that looks like a large white onion that doesn't have the brown outer papery skin on it.
