Collecting Passports from BHC Lefkosa

Anyone know if they ever answer the fecking phone there? have been trying for the last week on the three designated numbers but they Never pick up, how frustrating!

Sent off my wife's passport four weeks ago and we know that it has been processed in Madrid as the large wadge of cash has been extracted from our A/C.



Do they, the BHC contact you in some way or are you expected to turn up there on spec?

They contacted me - the money had gone from my account about three weeks prior to the phone call though. In all it took about 5 weeks from sending it from here so I am sure you will get a phone call soon! They rang me on a Wednesday morning and the next time I was able to pick it up was Friday morning - they told me on the phone what times I could pick it up.

If you used DHL you should have been given a tracking number and from that you should be able to see if it is back at BHC. Be aware they only open limited days/hours I think the details are on British Residents web site.

Hi

Mine took 22 days . The money was taken from my UK account. A very nice lady from British High Commission telephoned me on a Wednesday morning to say was ready to pick up. I think she said collection days' are on Wednesday and Friday's between 9.30am - 12.30. I typed up a letter of authorisation for a member of my staff to collect on my behalf.

Have checked the DHL Tracking number and it stopped at Madrid on 14th Feb. No details of the return journey given.

I will give it more time before becoming 'agitated'

Check your junk mail box incase DHL have sent you details of tracking no. for return from Madrid.

I can assure you that the BHC will call you once the passport is received in Nicosia - no need to become 'agitated'
