Is it possible to cross from Famagusta NC to Protaras in the south? Or would we have to travel towards Larnaca turning off for Protaras?

Any thoughts please?

Thanks.

Its quite an easy journey. Takes about 45 mins. I won't post directions, as it's about 4 years since I did it, and the memory might be a bit sketchy.

One thing I would say, take note of the landmarks on the way there, as it's easy to miss the turnings on the way back.

At Island with Soldiers Statue take the exit after the bus stop/station. You will see a palm tree as well. Carry on over all the islands. You will reach the crossing.

South side

Head for Frenaros. Derynia...Oh between the 2 towns you will pass a Euro shop. Sanctury Cosmetics...all 2 Euros

You will come to a HUGE Island take the first exit go over the traffic lights. Pop life shop worth a stop for more bargains. About 300 yoards after shop the road has a sharp bend ( known locally as Dangerous Bend) Carry on till junction. You will then come to the main Protaras Road. Turn right and you will come to Orthanides Supermarket. Virtually opposite the supermarket you will see a bakery and shops. The frozen Food shop stocks tescoes dry stuff. All cheaper than the supermarkets.

If you do not want to stop at the supermarket turn left at the junction down to the island and take last exit..brings you into Protaras...Hope that helps. Takes about 40 mins from Magusa Island..Do this trip o
