Has anyone any contact details for an English speaking rep at Karakum branch.

I understand that Francoise has now left, and would like to have contact to someone who can renew my car insurance before I arrive in May.

You are far better going into the bank to discuss interest rates on savings as there are a lot of variables. For example the more you have to invest then the better the interest rate you will receive also you will need to chose the type of savings account that you want i.e. monthly term/6monthly/yearly. You also need to decide as to whether you want to drawn down the interest on a monthly basis or whether you want the interest to accumulate and be added to your savings account. A years term will offer a lower interest rate but the interest will be fixed for the year (unless things have changed) and you may not be able to draw down the interest until the end of the term.

Where as a monthly savings account will allow you to drawn down the interest monthly but the interest rate is only guaranteed for the monthly term.

AJ,

Many thanks for your help & advice. Guess, I'll need to wait until next visit to TRNC & arrange a visit to the bank.

Thanks,

Morty

Andrew

I have never experienced such an unprofessional bunch in my 46 yeras in business. Had to involve the central bank to get my money out of their bank.

Deniz at Creditwest speaks fluent English as does Gaye at Garanti near 1001.

I use both and can recommend them.

Hope you are keeping well.
