As it's the Season of Goodwill I thought I'd start a nice friendly thread that is'nt about land issues, the moderators ,restaurants and anything else that has caused some people to argue.



I'd just like to say I hope everyone has a great Xmas and to wish everyone a Healthy and Happy 2009.

From a damp Oxfordshire (can,t wait to get back to Alsancak - where I hear there is proper rain - great!!) I wish everyone on the Forum a wonderful Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year - and hopefully may Peace, Practicality and above all Common Sense and Realism prevail in the talks between the leaders and may the two communities (like in Northern Ireland) put their differences behind them and work for the future of all the people both young and old who love living in this beautiful corner of the Med. It has always been my belief that no matter where we live on this Planet we have much more to bring us together than any artificial barriers either of creed or colour that would keep us apart. I grew up in Dublin in the forties and fifties - you could not get more bigoted than that believe me!! Hatred is such a negative emotion.

hi joanie1 what loely sentiments like you i also grew up in limerick same time and remember those days and when i first moved here it reminded me so much of ireland. Perhaps the leaders can take a leaf out of that process and please be to god find a soloution. There should never be barriers. Have a good xmas to you and your family xxxx
