We have been led to believe that Robb's appeal is March 12, It was supposed to be 29th Feb, but the judge presiding over the appeal was unavailable due to a family emergency.

Just a question regarding some of those villas, has any of the Armarata valley victims gone on and finished the villas their selves? As some of them look like they have been finished and some are having work done on them...

Noticed this when over last Dec, but the finished ones were mostly around the top of the complex ....

There is no infrastructure there, no utilities, nothing, this goes further to prove that the whole thing was a scam from the start. Its just land with shells on it. It will cost hundreds of thousands to get any kind of infrastructure on the site. The site itself is crumbling underfoot

Re message 5 - work stopped again in 2008 after a few months, there is only one villa that has been finished which is on the road by the entrance to Amaranta.

Would be a nice gesture from the Gov if they just seized the land, gave kocans to all the buyers (not sure how they would handle the double sold plots, maybe a joint kocan) with defered tax payment only when all services supplied, and at least the owners could decide a little of their own fate.

If the Gov put in the infrastructure, then the houses could potentially become liveable in the future, or at least some could sell for what they can and at least have some closure to the matter.

As a worst case, at least each would have the kocan for the land, maybe worth having for the future (kids/grandkids etc).

So no one blames the government

a criminal on the run gets citzenship

He was just doing what scammers have done for years

It is very easy to blame Robb. Whilst he needs to be held accountable for his actions, it is too easy to divert all the blame in his direction and forget that such a scam could never have been committed without the knowledge and support of his shareholders, the Estate Agents and the Advocates. Government departments also need to shoulder responsibility for allowing the build without the proper permissions, regulations and permits being in place.

That such a huge scam can be perpetrated with no accountability being laid, at the hands of the known culprits, is beyond belief. It says much about the TRNC Government who appear to have been negligent or dismissive in their duties and a legal system that can't support victims to seek justice.

Hopefully support and condemnation will come from other outside agencies. If there is one thing the TRNC excels in, it must be bad publicity.

Yes Bradus there are many more accountable :-( and always the same names circles within circles wheels within wheels eh!

Please don't spill your beer philbailey! let the honest among us be honest...

From Unwins Estate Agents, to Gurken & Gurken to Talat & his son Akan Kursat, to Munir Akil, to every member of the TRNC Government who allowed this scam to take place and the still to be brought to justice Tahir Soycan, Akan & Talat Kursat & Kutsel Tokatloglu................

Everyone needs to be aware of their names and the many more wolves in sheeps clothing living in La La Land!

As for Government Departments being "negligent" Bradus please don't make me laugh! (It isn't funny)!

I am still awaiting my refund from Mark & Hayran Unwins cut of my money which is £4215.00 this wonderful Estate Agent still owes me for something they sold me and I have never received! I am just one victim! They must owe millions!

How the hell do they sleep at night?

Were the Turkish army also to blame?, I remember when he was building properties in Catalkoy behind the cemetry, the army signs were still left in the gardens of the properties, surely the army must have known what was going on but did nothing. What were people thinking buying property on army land!

I just found this link too .

http://northcyprusfreepress.com/2009/10/31/trnc-koop-bank-seeks-to-make-people-homeless/

A long time ago but some good reading.

The property problems here are outrageous. Its my view that the government need to act '' Now'' rather then later ! Because their later seems to be '' Never ' ! And who is fighting to wake the government up so far. One woman and a few good supporters. Its about time everyone had their say !
