Do you "set up" or "put down" roots? Especially on TC land!

Nice link, additionally so if you click on the "scams" button, not just the North that has this problem clearly.

Another link suggests that the South has run out of concrete. I think I know where there is plenty lying around and not too far away.

Sandford,

when it comes to property scams there is no difference between the North and South. Both excel. The issue of concrete is interesting. A recent report shows that the concrete industry is on its knees as a direct result of the fall in the housing construction. Workers have been asking the Government to act with regards to the bad publicity and inadequate laws that they believe are the reasons the construction industry is in such decline. As is usual (North and South) the request has been ignored. Neither or proactive and the complete lack of action to prevent further damage to the construction industry has been on the cards for many years. As in common with the North, the South's concrete industry has reacted by going on strike. Hence the shortage.

The North and South have so much in common!

@ Bradus: The link in message 4 is nothing but a wish list from the Larnaca Town Tourism Board, established in 2008 at the onset of the latest global recession and published in May 2011 is already nearly 12 Months old!

It would need Chinese money to invest in such ambitious plans and I can only imagine it is the Oil and Gas in the region that they will ultimately have their designs upon.

No references for your OP Canada?

I share your views. My post was merely to state IMHO that your link was interesting and that the "concrete" article caught my eye given the amount of it forming so much of part built properties that everyone can see throughout the TRNC versus the seeming lack of it in the ROC.
