Anybody know if any TRNC veterinary practices are offering this vaccine and if so, who and how much? If no response I will ask our vet.

I am going to speak with a friend who is a vet in the south and see if it can be made available here and if so what the cost would be.

I have read some trials of a similar vaccine which was used against a different strain of sandfly in Brazil and it worked very well.

The difference was that it was a gov backed program to vaccinate both owned dogs and street dogs, it cleared the problem well for around 5 years.

Not much hope of the gov here supporting something like this, but just shows where the is a will there is a way.

The other research i have done tells me in around the 1940's Cyprus was clear of Leish. So what changed? All very interesting.

What ever the cost it for me would be well worth every penny/euro or Lira, to make sure my girls would be protected.
