sky tv hd box no signal

wondered if anyone out there can help.just returned back to trnc and i am haveing probs with my hd box. i dont seem to be able to get any channels at all.i did get them ok for a short while went to bed got up next morning no signal.its a new box.i normally get all the sport and films etc but nothing now.i have it tuned into 12402 and on v but dead no signal. please help anyone. would you put it in daft lads info i am a bit thick with techno. thanks all.

just google youtube,then search sky set up you should find it,well thats what I did.You can pause the video while you write it down for future ref. hope that helps.

Have you a SKY card, and is it "married" to your box by SKY and do you pay the £10 a month HD sub?

If you go into services and select "signal" have you got good white bars?

If yes to all those then:

1. unplug the box from the mains for 5 minutes.

2. PLug it back in again.

3. Select "Services£.

4. key in 001.

This forces a download and all should be OK.

Otherwise your dish might need re-alignment.

What size dish is it?

P.S.

If all you have is a Freesat card you won't get anything now, following the closure of the 2D satellite and the opening of the 1N satellite which does NOT cover Cyprus.
