As it's some time since we suffered the loss of electric power I wondered if all areas are experiencing power cuts or not...

I think our last one due to cable replacement work was weeks/months ago..

Tempting fate... I'll just go and check the gennie... oops it was nicked last year.

We are getting cuts around every other day it went off Sunday afternoon, back on for around 4 hours in the evening then off again until 12.00 noon yesterday.

Last week was almost every morning but think it was because they were fitting a new pole in a neighbouring street.

We had a fantastic run for around 18 months with hardly a power cut but the last 6 months - thank god for the genny!

Its been quite some time since the last short power cut.

It looks like all the new power cables and increased generator capacity are doing the trick so praise where praise is due to Kibtec.

Karsiyaka suffered power cuts for the last 2 nights.

Yesterday the power was off for most of the day also but i have to say Kibtek were out in that awful weather last night until the fault had been repaired.

Power cuts pretty rare now in Catalkoy, though expect cuts on Thursday for about 18 hours.

last powercut i had in my apartment in centre kyrenia (near bellapais lights) was last winter i remember.

nevertheless, i do expect some powercuts this winter, especially in january and march when lots of people turn on the A/Cs.

Bugger.

No power for the last 6 hours. Still not worth buying a Generator.

No power cuts at all in Catalkoy, so was it a good idea spending over £3k on an inverter and voltage regulator this time last year?
