Just checked my tank with all the rain recently it had over filled and gone into pump room. Had to take 1.5T out of bal tank and .5T out of pool room. Lesson learned keep checking the tank!!!

Have an overflow pipe fitted, save you the hassle.

During periods of heavy rain,

I think it's best to check pump room

and balance tank levels on a daily basis.

Even if you have a maintenance company looking after your pool!!!

If balance tank is filling up.

I pump as much water as I can back into pool,

hopefully any dirt in the water may fill in some of the leaks in my pool.

Also I have drilled 3 x 22 mm holes,

just at my safe MAX level in the balance tank,

this was done when the tank was empty!!!

Also drilled hole at the bottom of the pump room.

If your pool and balance tank are full,

just give the filter a good backwash and rinse,

won't do it any harm and will get rid of excess water.

If you can, invest in a submersible pump, under £30.

worth their weight in gold.

This can be used to control the level of the balance tank,

or keep your pump room from flooding the pump, if set right!!!

Try to keep the balance tank free of leaves etc

as they could block pump filter or any overflow system.

Good Luck,

Pump your balance tank out and keep the pool on main drain.
