If you value the natural beauty of northern Cyprus and want to protect northern Cyprus from further spoil then please sign this petition against the proposed building of oil and petrol storage and terminal in Karpaz : http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/Hands-off-Karpaz/

Message 6 - I think you have to pay for a sticky. But only the Mods can tell you on that one. Just hope that plenty of people sign it,k although from Cyprus Today it looks as if there could be problems which would prevent the storage tanks being here in the first place. Let's hope it is a HUGE problem which cannot be overcome. But sign up anyway. Please folks.

The problem is nobody really cares, only those developers who want to exploit the massive potential. The Turtle project should be on this case too. Greenpeace?

sorry Dippersgirl. I haven't got the paper here, but it was something to the effect that it is considered that TRNC will not be able to properly maintain and sustain the project. I think Turkey said something to that effect, so it could be that if someone shouts that message loudly enough the project may be squashed. That owuld be good, wouldn't it.

And to message 10, I can assure you that the Turtle project is very concerned, but it needs a united front to shout loudly enough.
