what way are you looking at it the fact 100 stg get you 280 tl and more ?????

and what exchange s are you looking at ????

my question is why is the tl so week at the moment and has stayed week for a bit now ??

this is what i think i think the tl is week because the rate ov borrowing is less now and the banks are lending money easy at this rate of 280 plus tl to the pound

because the tl will get stronger sooner or later it has never stayed at the rates it is at now.

just think you lend 100 000stg at this rate , that would be about 280 000 tl round about

then it drops to 240 with interest without the interest 40 000 tl up x that by 11%

so gess it is just a waiting game now wait for it to drop and see how negative equity hits and who???????

Joe, perhaps theTL is weakening against all major currencies (have you checked?). As mentioned by someone else, I am paid in £s so "quids in" at these rates. I also like to shop in South, so bit of a bonus all round really!

Enjoy, and invest accordingly, for as long as it is in our (my) favour

Msg 7

£ rising on speculation of budget, money market reacting accordingly but will probably fall back after speech. € strength beyond my comprehension as the Greek financial dilemma will be in the same predicament within the year! TL falling as there is a strong possibility of Military intervention into Syria.

Weakened by the strength of the time period of weeks I guess? Turkish Government is well versed in manipulating their currency to their best advantage.

It's ok for those who get paid in Sterling. The poor guys who have to rely on only TL for their income, or exchanged everything when they first came to TRNC, will lose out.
