I was just reminding you not to miss it out. Surely it is something you want every visitor to lapta to know about?

You are wrong yet again. If there is anything of more significance to the people of Lapta I for one can't think what it is.

I am also looking forward to the Lapta Festival which will of course highlight all the attractions of lapta.

I am hoping most of the international communities who live in North Cyprus will take part in the competitions and tournaments and will bring communities together .

'll join you Mike! a mix of Mike an Marioncould be a dynamic (or not) addition to the tournament. nd i wouldl echo the sentiment of praise for the huge amount of work that is going into this by the 12 strong committee. They are really determined to make this 5th event the biggest nd best eever - but they need support or it won't happen.

it is a great idea - so see you there!

wonderful stuff, B erke. Hope you find somone for the chess. I hd hoped that ans doeleman might help, but he s not available. Does anyone knowwho else was involved with the Chess club who might help the Festival .

and is Phil Lucock reading this? Might he volunteer as football referree. My husband would but in spite of being a Grade 2 Ref is now not even grade 40" . Shame that, but age has finished his refereeing legs off.

Hi Berkeh,

My partner and I are living in Alsancak. If you need someone to run the backgammon tournament, we have many years of experience doing so and would love to help. We are currently setting up backgammon league play throughout Northern Cyprus and will have many players we can also invite to participate. We would need the date and timeframe to mark on our calendar.

The festival sounds like great fun and we are looking forward to it.

as Phil Lucock has said he will help again, maybe he knows of others. As I say, my husband is a Class 2 ref, but would need to do it from a wheelchair! Seriously, I am sure Phil will help.

As to Chess, again, i would have thought that one of those who went to the Chess and Backgammon club at guidos might be good enough to help out. So, are they reading this????
