Maybe he grew tired of the abuse from some rose-tinted-glasses-wearing Brits hankering after meals just like they had at their local Harvester in Middle England ?

My God there are a lot of knockers out there with nothing to do other than poke and jibe at every post.

The food at the Old Mill (if that is where ladylittle is advertising for) is good grub and nothing like Harvester food (pre cooked in a factory rubbish) that is churned out in pubs and inns around Britain.

There are a number of busy pubs in Cyprus even during these lean times and the Old Mill gets more than its share of punters, maybe because of the nice ambiance, good food and drink and the jovial atmosphere

Whats wrong with wanting to eat non Cypriot food anyway? In the UK I eat British, Chinese, Indian, Thai, French, Italian, Spanish etc dishes so why can't we do the same here? I for one get bored of stuffed vegetables, kebab type meats etc and reserve the right to eat what I want when I want to.

Lets face it, the local food is pretty basic stuff one up from roasting a bit of meat over a naked flame caveman style!

RE msg 16, DONTY : (...) Lets face it, the local food is pretty basic stuff one up from roasting a bit of meat over a naked flame caveman style! (...)

===> I can hardly believe that someone can write such a stupid, arrogant remark in earnest! You're kidding, Donty, aren't you? (Must be the famous British sense of humour, I fear). Or do you think the Burger King offers local food..?!

In answer to some of your questions, yes there are some busy pubs/restaurants in NC, the Old Mill is one of them!!! Which answers another question, yes I am something to do with the old mill. I have been very sucsessful in finding a new chef, been with us for a few weeks now, our menu is changing slowly, introdcuing new dishes every week, steak and ale pie being one of my favs!!! Having said that we are still serving our sunday roasts, from 2 - 8, but you must book!!!

If there is anything you would like to know, please call or email....

Hi Sarah

May you continue to have good fortune at the Old Mill. I for one will still frequent your establishment even though I live in Bachelli.(I did like your last Chefs Yorkshire Puddings). For those of you that havent tried it I would recommend that you do book as I have personally seen Sarah having to turn away guests as the place was full.

Wasn't Tony the chef at The Old Mill? Don't say he's moved on again.

Yes Tony was the Chef with us until a few weeks back, he has now gone into retirement, but currently on holiday in the UK.

Thanks
