Is it like a crispbread you are referring to ? if so perhaps you could make melba toast instead

Yes Simbas, it is a type of Melba toast. Perhaps I can try and make some....but I never seem to get that uniform crispness

Saw Delia making it by flattening crustless bread with a rolling pin then toasting. I've also tried...

lightly toasting medium sliced bread, cut the crusts off then slice through the soft inside with a sharp breadknife. Then toast the 'inside' bits.

Worked OK for me both ways.

Might be worth trying again.

I love making Melba toast. It is much more tasty than the bought stuff and looks much more intersting by virtue of the fact that its not a uniform shape or colour.

Try toasting a thick slice of toast bread then cut off the crust and slice between the toasted sides. cut to the shape or size you require

re toast the bread under a grill but keep a eye on it as it toasts very quick.

If you require thick slices toast the sliced bread then cut off the crust roll with rolling pin ( as stated by Lozroz ) then place in a hot oven to dry out.

Hope this is of some help.
