It has been announcedthat this great performer passed away on Xmas DAY.She was 81yrs old and died of colon cancer.She had been performing for over 60 yrs and her most recent was this year.FAmous for her unique singing voice and sultry manners she also had a beautiful "normal" singing voice and could have trained as an opera singer,but chose the stage and films for her career.I think she will be missed by alot of people worldwide...

h coachie i was saddened by the news a great voice and i beleve a great lady.what was her most famous song one that we will remember i have been racking my brains and cant think of one. i beleive she had a very sad life bit like edit piaff. happy new year coachie xx
