Can a moderator please explain why suzanne is no longer a registered member.

I have picked this up from another forum where she has posted this fact. I have checked member list and she is no longer there.

Might not always agree with her comments but she is as entitled as anyone to post.

MANAGEMENT COMMENTS PLEASE ASAP.

Surely for a member to be removed it should not be the responsibility of one person. Other forums operate a "commitee system" where such decisions such as this are made as a group to avoid finger pointing.

I have just had a quick look and I can not see anything (unless I am missing something) that a mod can do to delete a membership.

I once asked her about her dual registration, one here and one on the other side(anne-ssh)or somethig like that, and she said it was not her.Yet when you read her posts it was very insulting comments about this board and telling members over there to come onto this board and wind peiple up and have some fun because we were all a bunch of idiots. Now she may come back and deny every thing I have said, but I am absolutely sure it is her/him.So I am not sorry to see her go...

Obviously something is not working for him so now he is trying to push on another front. But I must say that he is running out of bulleting boards to post on and he is sailing very close to the wind on this one. Never mind John, there is always Nige's board that you may be able to find refuge on.

I am sure he would welcome you with open arms.

Nothing wrong with nostalgia Paul and you are right theses guys still live in the sixties. I was talking to some at the I O W ferry and their bikes are mostly originals from 64-68 . They still wear all the " gear " Ben shermans, stapress, brogues the lot .It just seems a bit weird looking at fifty somethings dressing that way ,but they are all serious about it .

Pilgrim, Our paths must have crossed at some time in the 60's. We were in Brighton at least one week-end a month in the early mid 60's. Great times eh?

Doyen, we must have spent quite a few week ends especially bank holidays there, many of us had tents on the racecourse, ate in Lyons corner shop, washed in beach public toilets , cruised up and down promenade, sun bathed and swam, all for a couple of quid! your right magic days.

Message 45 - I have to say this and leave myself open for criticism about correcting people's spelling, grammar, etc. but isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? English is Hans' second language and I have to say his command of the English language is a bloody sight better than yours. Also, your 'Old Gran's saying' - "nine bob short of a shilling". I thought you were a southerner - one shilling is one bob - so nine bob short? Even with poetic licence, this is pushing it a bit!

Bill - on a different subject, can't quite see myself at my age with my painted on Twiggy eyelashes, etc. hanging on to some bloke on the back of his scooter.

Margate 67/68 ish by the way

arry - message 50 - please accept my apologies, it was Negative Nick's old gran. Sorry. I can assure you I have a very good sense of humour, but to be honest, sometimes the spelling and grammar used on here drives me mad. Perhaps the fact that I'm a medical secretary has something to do with it!

Incidentally, it's "Knickers".

Wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year!

P.S. I had 'girls' Hush Puppies (very flattering to the legs). They got so scruffy my Mum put brown polish on them and they came up all shiny, like leather rather than suede.

===> Don't worry about it, mate. Life ain't easy for a boy called arry. I understand your problem and it's not your fault. There's something wrong with the English language. You *must* write the letter k, but you're not allowed to pronounce the k: knight, knee, knife, knickers, etc., etc. Confusing (especially for a foreigner!) believe me! Good knight, night or nite, arry.

So, none of you girls have posted on here! All the guys have gone into one about their scooters, parkas, etc. What about us? I've already mentioned my painted-on Twiggy eyelashes, but what about fashion - Mary Quant mini-dresses, suede boots that you had to lie down in to button up with string through the zips, hot pants, etc. We could have a good trip down memory lane with our fashion disasters here. Why not have a bit of a laugh to welcome in 2009, instead of the usual doom and gloom?

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL

Jean

Pilgrim-If we are on a trip down memory lane-first L.P. I ever bought when starting work was "The Temptations Greatest Hits" still stands up today!

I was a huge ska fan-used to spend most of my wages on Jamacian imports!
