Maybe - in the unlikely event she could convince the authorities to give her a work permit on the basis thst there isn't a Turkish Cypriot available anywhere who could do the job. Times are hard...

I know that GAU didn't renew the contracts of several of their English teachers, replacing them with "volenteers".

Maybe a bit more say 1,100- 1200 GBP per month some schools pay in Euros as well.

Depends on supply and demand and qualifications a bit as well.

In 2000 we were all native speaking English speakers, with degrees in

our subject, plus TEFL. Some of us were also qualified to teach and

examine in I.G.C.S.E which is marked by Cambridge Uni. and they were

very keen to get us. We were paid in dollars mostly, and rest in lira which

was enough to live on as we had accommodation & other expenses paid.

We had ex-patriot contracts in a fee-paying school. I know they still employ

some British teachers. Try E.M.C. Gazimagusa/Famagusta.
