He was banned for the posting of Hed Kandi through myself if you want the actual fact.

You may think nicking names and copyrights is just a joke or makes you laugh over here,

at the end of the day it is a serious issue over here, and one thankfully Admin here are taking seriously to prevent it.

It is Misleading in every sense. YES People will see through it, but some will think they were going for HED KANDI Music etc and be out of pocket etc etc

People say cause we are in the North, copyright etc doesnt apply here, yet do you see pizza bars as Pizza Hut?

or burger joints as McDonalds etc etc? i mean with no copyright laws anyone could call there place by a brand and not care. Yet you dont see it here.

i may seem the big bad wolf, and we all know the party will go ahead, my job is to pull any advertizing down.

I think some people need to understand certain things about this board.

First of all this board is hosted by server providers in the UK. Secondly look at the red text at the top of this thread (Report Topic as Defamatory / Wrong / Misleading) and perhaps you will understand why this reporting mechanism was introduced. The board owner on a regular basis gets threatened with court action from companies/businesses that feel that their reputation has been sullied. I would suggest that those people that use this board to post false or unsubstantiated information be careful about the harm that they may be doing to this board and the consequences that may result.

I genuinely had never heard of this "Hed Kandi" thing,.. I asked my 2 sons who are in their early 20s and they looked at me as if I was talking swahili (nothing new there) they have never heard of it so I googled it.



Am I right in thinking its someone elses music with a different slant on it.... you know jazzed up a bit with a bit of drum and base only this time with a sax ?........ hasn't that been done before.

From what Ive just been listening to Saint you are better staying at home and stuffing yourself with a Victoria sponge and a rabbit moulded jelly.........Im sure you will enjoy it more

It has been going on for years the unfounded lies and rumourmongering, and libelous statements, and when you were a mod still nothing was done about it in many cases, and all you do is yawn yawn when people point out how some are allowed to get away with it and others want to defend their corner.

People are still making unfounded accusations although more subtly, but the day is coming

Some others are protecting what they percieve as their cash cows, as long as they and theirs are making money while defending the indefensible and it will continue.

Yes i understand i may have given more publicity to the event, yet on the other hand hopefully have saved people's money who MAY have gone thinking it was the real deal, There will be a day that the Global copyright laws will be in place here in the North, which will in turn lead to prostitution to such venues etc using Branded / Trademark names with out permission.

Also in turn to intelligent people it dampens the venues name as holders of fake parties etc.



Thanks to Dalartokat for the info on Hed Kandi - for those that dont know, Hed Kandi was then sold by Mark Doyle to Ministry of Sound (Also a Venue, Record Label, Promotion and Global Franchisee of the Brand)

I have to say I love Almond bar and was planning to go with a load of mates on Saturday but decided not to when I saw the Hed Kandi advert. This is a respected operation in the UK but I knew this would be the shoddy imitation by conman Syed Ahmet so we boycotted the place.

Not only am i offended by being lied to by Mr Ahmet but also by the weak events he puts on. I will not return to the bar any night when he or his acts are playing and I think many expats ripped off by the property company he claims to run or the dodgy estate agents he works through will feel the same way.

We must however bring to your attention that we have no idea who you are referring to when you say " conman Syed Ahmet".For your record and for the publics attention Ahmet who posted the Almonds advert for this event is in fact the owner of the Almond Holiday Village and Almond Sports Lounge s Son and has an impeccable reputation with in the local community and tourists that have been using the Almond Holiday Village resort for 13 years.

Ahmet Ashik has never been involved in any way with a property company or estate agents and has therefore never "ripped off any expats". Ahmet is deeply offended by this accusation quite rightly feeling that you very wrongly have besmirched not only his name but also that of the Almond Holiday Village and the Almond Sports Lounge.

You clearly have no legal recourse, however, I certainly would not wish to offend Ahmet Ashik - although the person I mentioned had a completely different name so it is odd how you could take it like that. Mr Ashik is an extremely pleasant man in my experience and has to my knowledge has certainly never ripped anyone off. I never suggested that Syed Ahmet or his weak events were connected with Almond other than in relation to this event. This individual I mention tries to pass him off as a promoter, who arranges events at a variety of bars, and he lies about being connected with Hed Kandi. Again i enjoy the Almond and have never found the management to be anything other than friendly and professional.

Blimeyl with all the DVD copies you wouldn't think it would be a problem and by the way message 8 there is a pizza hut in Lefkosa must admit not as nice as the real PIZZA HUT but not bad. Also when i came on Holiday here a year back and me and friends went to a club named FACES in kyrenia sounded familiar as there is a FACES nightclub in London which is very popular!!! Poor Almond bar, ridiculous really
