As I understand it, it is a GPS with no navigation facility i.e. no screen and no directions, simply the position of speed cameras are saved in its memory and the alarm goes off when you get within so meters near them.

What is the significance of the 66 search channels and 22 tracking channels? Presumably they are to do with satellite searches.

Is an update ready for my navigation gadget and should I bring it in for an update or is it available over the internet and password provided if necessary?

They don’t work with new or mobile radar or laser detectors either, so wouldn’t it just be more cost effective, safer, less tiring and distracting, responsible, legal and community minded to just keep to the prescribed speed limits? I mean, how much time do you realistically hope to save on your average journey by speeding over the speed limits?
