Thanks, that is the clearest and best piece of information I have found about snakes here. Is there any way you can repost it in a printable format or could you email it to me if I send you my email address?

Does anyone know if there is a safe (or as safe as possible) way to view the indigenous snakes, ie organised nature walks etc?

HarryL I don't know of any organised walks, the sound/vibration of footsteps would send them on their way and to go looking for them is, as you suggest is a bit risky.

They are beginning to emerge at this time of the year and bask on warm rock and tracks in the sun. You may find some in that manner but it's not something I'd recommend.

Good luck, keep safe!
