Do you also applaud the Iranians for supplying the rockets and missiles? How is that helping the present situation?

So you would deny the Palestinians medical supplies eh ...nice...in my eyes there is no such state as Israel and to cap it why should the jews get their own state, the christians dont and neither do the muslims so why the jews...they are terrorists IMO

Although I have agreed with you on many an occasion I think you are quite wrong on this one. Have you forgotten about the Arab Israeli war in the 60's when the Arab nations united to try and destroy Israel ( and got their arses kicked instead). Jewish people have been persecuted for centuries by many nations. Perhaps you have also forgotten about the Munich Olympics massacre of Jewish athletes by the PLO. Or the many other atrocities peretrated by the PLO under Arafat which killed many innocent people ( and not all Israeli). It saddens me that the two sides remain in conflict but the Palestinians continue to fire rockets into Israel and must expect retaliation. If only both sides would stop the tit for tat destruction but I suspect that is a forlorn hope

By the way I am not Jewish in case you thought that!!!!!!!

Just to think if they were not firing missiles into Israel they would not need help and the money they spend on the missiles could be spent on food and hospital supplies .

Just think what would happen if mexico fired 200 missiles into the usa !!

We must remember Hamas are a terrorist organisation that are in control of Gazza, there aim is to provoke, and Israel are falling into the trap, Iranian weapons are flooding into Gazza via Egypt, ground forces are preparing to enter the West Bank and no doubt an escalation is on the cards, well planned to coinside during the takeover confussion of the new American president. The whole area is a tinder box, and as the Yanks are a bit overstreached to come to the aid of Israel, we may find the Arabs having a good crack at them this time, and as we saw in Lebenon, Israel is not the force it once was.The crap could hit the fan big style, convert your pool plant rooms into nuclear bunkers, and hope the winds in the right direction for the fall out.

DC4.It is Hamas who are firing the missiles into Israel not the Palastinians. This Is a Islamic organisation ,funded by Iran, whose sole objective in there simple lives is the complete destruction of a legally appointed state.Like has been said in aprevious post ,if they want to attack Israel they must accept that there will be repercussions in abig way,and I firmly beleive there sponsers,Iran, will eventually get there buts kicked as well.Israel today allowed 40 truckloads of essential supplies and medicines through to Gazza to help with the injured.Israel does not want this conflict as has been proven with the peaceful situation that is working on the West Bank.Like a previous poster I am not Jewish.....

DN..Dont forget that there are at this moment no arab nations with Neuclear weapons.Israel has and that might just deter them enough, thats why Israel is keeping an eagle eye on Irans neuclear programme.Once she thinks they are getting close to making aweapon she will hit them. There is noway Israel will let Iran have neuclearweapons......

Re Message 16----The Israels cant leave it much longer before they strike at the heart of Iran. It must happen very very soon or otherwise they will be destroyed, so give it a month or so and they will finally bite the bullet and hit them hard. What happens after that is anyones guess,,,,,,,

Hi Coachie, Ref mess 16, Iran does not posess the caperbility to mass produce a nuclear weapon, however following the break up of the soviet pack, the sale of weapons grade plutonium and the technology for detonation was on the shop shelf. Iran does have a limited supply and a means of delivery along with biological agents, the yanks are aware of this and are treading carefull. Israel no longer have the upper hand, the playing field is even. Hamas is a tool to provoke, and pull the Arab nations together in responce. Israel would be wise to dampen the powder keg before they shoot themselves in the foot.

DN..I dont think any of the ex-Soviet bloc coutries would be so daft as to let them have weapons grade plutonium because if they did World War Threewould have starterd by now.The Israelis went in not long ago and blatted one of there nuclear installations and that was not the first time either. They will only listen to the Yanks up to a certain point then they will do what they think is right, and worry about the repercussions later. That much they have learned off the Yanks ..Shoot first ask questions later...

My nephew his wife and son were standing in Glasgow airport waiting to check in when 2 so called doctors in the name of jihad tried to drive a car bomb into the airport , they are lucky the terrorists failed.

These terrorists are now getting their just deserts at the hands of the Isrealis and sent to paradise

The only problem is they must be running out of the statutory 40 virgins every would be suicide bomber is entitled to

The Isrealis are doing the world a favour and should be applauded

KK5C.. there is one thing for sure you cannot negotiate with people who only want to kill you,you might as well bang your head against a brick wall and eventually you get fed up of the pain and treat them with same methods that they use .. violence.. but when you do that every body condemns you for it.If Israel stopped tomorrow Hamas would just carry on its campain....That is there sole purpose in life.. the extermination of the Jewish state, and that is not going to happen....

Seems a somewhat unbalanced response to a few homemade rockets

which killed very few Israelis and the whole might of Israeli bombing

in which already over 300 killed, most of whom were entirely innocent

and much more to come apparently, (making the most of of last days of

Bush's pro-Israeli stance)

hamas are well and truly in a safe place waiting to attack, this makes the whole terrorism worse for all ,where do you think terrorist will strike now ,i,ll let you answer that one .

i wonder how many israelies really want to see whats happening to the pallestinians ,someone lost their child today and their home and for what reason .

lets pray both the israeli goverment and hamas come too their senses .

Hamas are terrorists yes but so are the ppl of Israel, remember the Lebanon, the jews blizted the whole place, the Lebanaon was the one country where ppl could go on holiday and be safe, the jews didnt want that so they bombed it to death, how many innocent children, women and men died for the glory of Israel....and what did they achieve...nothing.

How many more years have I got to listen to the jews saying poor us poor us, we are persecuted..get over it and get on with it..

Do the TC's constantly bleet on about their human rights being abused ..NO.

The jews should take a leaf out of the TC's book!

now i thought this thread was about the footballer? musin? gazza? gaza!

i think that to call hamas terrorists is a little unfair.

one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter!

my thought are that all other countries should put pressure on israel to stop this killing right now. especially when they are restricting the freedom of the press in some areas.

Firestarter..msg28. you say its unfair to call Hamas terrorist, prey tell me then what are they then!!Freedom fighters they are not. the Palastinians have freedom ask President Abbas.HE distanced himself very rapidly from them when he saw that they where about to commence the attacks on Israel. He is currently in Egypt along with other Arab politicians trying to get the cease fire back in place, much to the annoyance of Hamas. If necessary Hamas would sacrifice every man woman and child in Gazza in pursuit of there beliefs, that is the total destruction of Israe.....

For all you armchair politicians, the Israelites are terrorists, a few rockets does not cause the death and destruction of hundreds of women and children, Israel blocks medical supplies etc getting thru to the Palestinians...nice ppl eh....NOT

How the hell do you know what damage a rocket can do. What if it hit a school and killed scores of children. Would you change your rhetoric then or simply say they deserved it.? I repeat, if you fire Missiles at a country you should expect retaliation. The PLO have carried out scores of atrocities and Hamas is simply an extension.

Gibson the only problem I have with your reply is that the rockets being launched by Hamas are unsophisticated and very often hand made. The one launched yesterday and which killed one Arab worker left a hole the size of a bucket in the concrete of the structure it hit. Short of one hitting a fuel tank it's difficult to envisage them creating the sort of carnage you describe.

Unfortunately the disproportionate response by the Israelis is a cynical calculated political action, several months in the planning, and designed to coincide with the imminent Israeli elections and the incoming administration in the US.

Hamas have fired rockets in the past which have taken out a school and much of their weaponry is supplied by Iran. Dee, you are clearly familiar with rhetorical crap as that is so far all you have posted on here!!!!!!!!!

You clearly have no knowledge about the past history of Hamas or PLO as you are either ignoring their past atrocities or simply think they were justified.

I said I wouldnt, but we all knew I would.!

Dee you miss the point! It matters not whether it is Arab or Isreali.

Souls are souls. They are part of God. Destroy one and you hurt God.

Israel knows the gamble that they are taking. They are stepping back and taking stock!

Benjamin Netanyahau made the point, and very clearly. When the Nazis rained down

rockets on London, what did we do. Let me tell you. We blanket bombed Bremen. Dee

what did blanket bombing mean?..............flatten everything. Man, woman, child, church

EVERYTHING! .And that from the most civilised nation on Earth?

It is people like you full of agression, and hatred that are the problem. An eye for an eye?

We would all be blind. (Ghandis words not mine)

Give peace a chance Dee, give peace a chance!

That is my New Year contribution to this board. It is well meant, and will probably be

moderated.

I wish all members of Cyprus 44 A very happy and healthy New Year.

Musim.. the Israelis would stop tomorrow if Hamas would. Its not the Israelies you have to convince that this is totally unnesesary, but Hamas.By the way they (HAMAS) dont have the no how to manufacture rockets they come supplied courtesy of Iran. But I have noticed that they are rockets of limited range and distructive power, but like a previous poster has said, one of them in the right place could cause havoc. All Hamas and Iran want Is to turn world opinion against Israel and make themslves look hard done to.by the wayD C4 Israel allowed 40truckloads of supplies and medical aid through on Sunday or did you not see that through your tainted glasses. WYN.. Itotally agree withyour "give peace a chance "but it takes two sides to do that, not one...

on the 40 virgins theme

I was sitting on a plane sipping a whiskey from the stewardess and she asked an arabic gentleman next to me if he would like a drink as well,

he replied that he would rather be raped by 40 raging whores than let alcohol touch his lips

*I gave my drink back as I didn't realise we had a choice*

I wonder how many people are frightened to get on a plane incase an israeli blows it up, or how many people are concerned that an israeli flies a plane into a building killing hundreds, that's terroism! People have the right to defend themselves. If someone broke into your house with a knife to kill you do you think that by shooting him you have used excesive force?, you would do what you had to do. I have travelled extensively throughout the middle East and met wonderful people from all over, but so many arabs do not want the state of israel to exist and will never settle until they are completely wiped out.
