At the moment I am living in the UK and do not want to ever change to the Euro. Our wages would be worthless.

Seriously:

You can get cheap package deals, best time to visit March-June and then Sept-Dec.

July August too hot.

You can spend all day by the pool, or take a tour to, Hoover dam, or the Grand Canyon.

Spend the day or night going up the strip, each hotel has a different theme, take you a week to see them all from an active Volcano to Pirates sinking a galleon or a ride on a Gondola.

The shows are amazing, if you are a buffet person (its heaven the most elegant buffets in the world).

Shopping like you have never ever seen, and if you are single. there is a saying "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" anything you want

You can visit the Eiffel tower Paris, old Rome, Venice, Egypt (I stay in Luxor the pyramid) http://www.luxor.com/(a wonder all on its own)or ride the highest roller coaster int he world and on and on...

Its great value for money. JUST AVOID THE SLOT MACHINES,if you can.

I may be wrong but aren`t ING, ABM AMRO, and FORTIS Dutch? and lets not even consider Landsbank which is German or put another way they might as well be Dutch.

All prime examples of European fortitude.

Turbo,

Not sure if this relates to this thread, but I just got back from Vegas.

I stayed at the Amazing Caesar's Palace and it just blew my mind...and my wallet!

You really cant get better than Vegas, it has it all!

Each hotel is like a whole resort, and they let you wonder in and out of each hotel.

Paris, New York, Bellagio ( the water show outside it just amazing!) Excalibur, The Venetian, the list goes on!

Then there is the breathtaking Grand Canyon, Sky Walk, Hoover Damn, Lake Mead.

I'll definitely be going back.

i think gordon brown has made a very large mess of things, but then again maybe he does know what he is doing.

the low value pound, makes our goods and services cheaper than those of our e.u neighbours.

hence we can still compete in the market place and whilst we are still working it should keep unemployment at bay.

those who use the over valued euro are heading for a fall sooner or later as they will not be able to compete.

Firestarter, I'm afraid that unemployment in the UK is likely to reach just under the 3 million mark by the end of 2009, so I think that your optimism is misplaced, although I wish that it would be true.

its hard to work out if brown is an idiot or very clever where is the line drawn?

i agree with fire starter on the competition front all the importers in the uk like citroen vw bmw merc to name a few will not be able to pass on the devaluation of the £ to customers it would need a50% increase from 1 to 1.5 to get their margins back pleased that peugeot and ford will regret they closed uk factories so stuff peogeot, horrible crap anyway if you want a prper french car it has to be a citroen.

Dear Rose, you are right about Gordon and the new conservative party. Seems to me that the ordinary working class joe bloggs(mug in the middle) ,that has to carry on as he has done for decades. The ones at the bottom of the heap take advantage of the benefits society;whilst the top earners benefit from bonuses, creative accounting and tax advantages. Bit of a pet hate of mine after working nearly 40 years. The £ will come back, just as the $ did,but long term (10 + years);the future of the UK economy is ???. WE dont make much anybody, just provide services, but crime and taxes seem to increase like cones on the motorway. Dont want to sound like negative nick;thats why there are a lot of ++++'s for the TRNC which many on this site should stop knocking. All the best to everyone for 2009 .Stev4e

It is so sad that the mad dutchman sets up an organisation here that seeks to rob former citezens of the UK of their hard earned pensions etc. I wonder if he pays taxes on his ill gotten gains.

One thing we need not worry about is his grasp of the English language and its various nuances. Despite his rhetoric he has not a clue.

As for his critique of former service personnel, one day he and his sad wife will reap the rewards of his continual garbage on this and other forums.

We know where you both are on saturdays!!!!!!!!!! Maybe the tax authorities would like to know as well.

(...) Hi David,

Can you please confirm (in reply to this email address) that you have received my confirmation for July 31?

Regards,

Hans Doeleman

================

So. You wanted to attend a "Medieval Cyprus Fellowship" historical reading (organization: the Celebrity Group of Hotels, Lapta). I confirmed the two seats you wanted. And now it's "this organisation here that seeks to rob former citezens of the UK of their hard earned pensions". Your credibility? Zero.

PS. I will allow my accountant in Girne to answer all your questions about "the gains" of the "Medieval Cyprus Fellowship". Let me know when you'd like to see him.

PPS. I'm not interested in your apologies. Your attack on my wife shows your level.

steve 1953..I went to a\ /place called Taba Heights. It is a small resort at the top of the Sinai Penninsular close to the Israel/Jordan border.Only 5 hotels and a beautiful golf course there, but they doexcursions into Israel(Dead Sea-Bethlehem)and Jordan for Petra.I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel.says its a 5 star, but I would say 4star at most.Well I am going back next year so must have been ok,her indoors even liked itand that says something if you can please a woman..What ever you do steve go all inclusive because the cost of food and drink is outrageous.people on half board paying £10 for burger and chips at lunch time and £5 for apint of beer.We had no complainst about the food,a bit repetitive but you can only do so much with fish, meat and poultry but it was always nicely cooked and presented and if you like sticky puddings this is the place for you...overall we enjoyed and the golf course is superb...
