Hi everyone . Just heard from a friend of mine who says Stevie Gerrard was set up ! The person whom he had is photograph taken with was a Manc !infiltrater. Sent to cause trouble with this fine young Man . who may i add in my opinion would not hurt a fly " Only on the Pitch" would expect this sort of behavior from somebody like Rooney! cospiracy at its finest . Man U cant catch us unless we slip up. Maybe by getting our captain arrested they think this might help them. What do you think guys ? and Gals .

There is a specific football thread that you may want to re-post on.

Re your message 6.

'jack

I am not telling anyone where to post, it was a suggestion. I have no interest in football but I appreciate a lot of other people do. In my mind it is far better to have a common thread relating to one topic than to have fragmented threads. The reason why I started the football thread in the first place was 1: Intelligent and constructive threads were being taken off topic by postings of a 'football' nature that obviously had nothing to do with the original posting. 2: it is far better to have one common subject posting than a lot of different same subject postings as you have probably seen already on the board. It makes no difference as to whether I am a mod or not I still would have made the same posting.

Take care

Gibson, I agree he's overpaid but don't think that he's overrated as he'd be on every teams shopping list if ever he were allowed to leave Liverpool, which ain't ever going to happen, but I must admit that I'm disappointed by this as he's not normally associated with night clubs and the like, and after this don't think he will be again. We'll see, but I fear that the victim in this case is the one who should be worrying about his own future.

I say overrated as he is always touted as world class. From his England performances I would say he is nowhere near that level whether other teams would buy him or not. As an ex pro I feel competent to judge his capabilities

90% of football players are little more than thugs. Low inteligence and under achievers at school. They behave off the pitch very much as they do on the pitch. Gobbing and swearing. No respect for authority.

These people who should be setting an example to the fans and our kids should be dealt with in a very severe manner.

The more money you pay these yobs who play football, the worse they get.

Gerard MBE and fellow of some University does not deserce these honours.

The only other thing I can remember him doing apart from playing football and swearing and gobbing on the pitch was knocking a kid off his bicycle.

If he is found guilty of this horrible crime. He should be banged up for a long time.

The behaviour of the players these days is nothing to do with football.

They are disgusting the way they act.

I would give the red card for swearing. The red card for gobbing also.

If they go out and beat people up, I would ban them from playing the game.

It's not about football

Lilli. Its about general behavior in front of young fans.

If you get a million pounds a month. Behave yourself and be a role model.

I was speaking to a social worker in Liverpool, who specialises in drugs related problems. He told me that Stevie G's wife used to be the girlfriend of one of the most notorious drug barons in Liverpool. He said there has been a very uneasy tension between the three of them and something was bound to kick off at some point. He ultimately feared for the safety of Stevie G.

Who knows might be a load of twaddle

Mark, it's not twaddle. I think it's quite well known that Mrs Gerrard dated a well known gangster in Liverpool before she met Stephen Gerrard.

No it's not twaddle ILC and it was he that was trying to extort money from Stevie G until he was 'mysteriously' shot in the face and the harrassment stopped, which is why I fear for the safety of the victim in this case.

Looking back two seasons ago Stevei G was set to move to Chelsea.

A good friend of mine who lives in scouse land tells me it was because of the

tension that was building up between him and his wifes ex,who is in with a

very unsavoury crowd in Liverpool.

Kavenkoy, Stevie G's 'connections' are neither rumour or stories.

Kavenkoy, I know what you mean but you only have to look at the factual reporting of a recent trial of a Merseyside villain (since absconded) where Stevie G's dad gave a statement in court in support of the said villain as he'd helped stop the harrassment of the Gerrards by another villian who'd previously been Mrs.G's girlfriend before she got married.

Mark, my concern and observations to date have been for the victim and his future safety - not my own, but thank you for your concern.
