Has anybody bought at this development in Karsiyaka? If so, would be interested to know when it is due to be finished.

Thanks.

Hı I don't know when your site will be finished, but Santa Fe told me today that the Edremit Hieghts site will be completed at the end of January 2009. You are welcome to email me at augusta_no@hotmail.com

I am in Girne right now and can go and have a look at your site if it would be of any help.

greetings

Christine

Hi Augusta thanks for the offer but the reason I was asking is because the Citrus Gardens site is at the top of my road and I was just curious. For anybody that is buying there we had a walk round the other day and nearly all the blocks have windows in, bathrooms tiled and kitchen cupboards.

Hi Blackpoolfan.....thanks..how do I find you....can you tell me how I get to Olive Grove and do you have a telephone number? my email is augusta_no@hotmail.com

I visited Edremit Heights yesterdayand today and there is a little bit of work going on...but there are so few men working there.....I now know most of them by name( and I am lousy at remembering names , so that gives an idea of how many are to be found!)....if only they'd put a few more workmen on the site it would be finished in no time at all...! But they have told me it will be ready at the end of this month....so maybe the various subcontracted workforces will appear soon!

Hi.I have bought an apartment at Citrus Gardens, and it is likely to be completed around March 09.It was meant to be completed by July 21st 08 and then got delay after delay.I hear this is quite common though.

Has anyone been successful getting any compensation from Sante-Fe when there build has been really late?.It says we would in our contract.

Scooby,

You have more chance of meeting the queen than getting compo out of santa-fe its not worth the paper its written on. Same old TRNC protect the builders and not the buyers. I have bought at olive grove completion July 08 still waiting for electric etc..Good Luck

Scooby - message 12. I believe the "compensation culture" in N.C. is a complete misnomer - it just doesn't exist, whatever it may say in the contract.

However, good luck - there's always an exception to the rule!

All the best.

Lee I'd let them know when you're coming to sort out furniture etc as well as telling them what your plans for August are too - flights booked etc. I know of one builder who paid for hotel accommodation when the property fell behind its completion date but I can tell you that that's the exception rather than the rule, but good luck & I hope that everything goes to plan.

Hi Lee I recently took some pictures for one of your neighbours and your block is one of the ones that are further advanced. All windows are in, front door, tiling, kitchen units and wardrobes. The pool is not tiled and most of the other blocks are quite a way behind and the two nearest the road don't have windows. There have been no workers on site for quite some time although they have recently dug a trench for (I assume) water and sewerage. The site is going to need an electricity substation and that will probably be the main thing that holds up completion.

As JimmyG suggests I think you need to tell Santa Fe your intentions and see what they have to say. I will email you the photos I took on 5th January.

Lee,

Judging by the comments in message 21 you haven't got a prayer mate. I was in the same boat as you bought off santa-fe at olive grove was told it would be finished for may '08 but wasn't flew over in august with the family and in fairness santa-fe were very good as they put us up in one of their apartments for 3 weeks free of charge. I would e-mail them if they say it will be finished great but if its not at least you have the e-mail to fight your corner with. Good Luck.............

Hi Jo

In my opinion there is absolutely no way on earth that this will be ready for handover in March/April unless Santa Fe actually put some workers on site who can perform miracles. I am happy to send the photos I took for Scooby if you are in touch with these people or if they can email me and tell me which block they have bought in I will take some photos of them.

For information, I have not bought there but I live further down the road where these apartments are being built.

If you get chance could you try and get some photos of my apartment. It is G3 which is the top right if you are looking from the pool.

Many thanks

Hi Lee,

We are also buying an apartment at Citrus Gardens (H1).We are hoping it will be completed by March this year but from other people's experience it sounds doubtful.Have you heard anything different?.We are thinking of going over in April whether it is ready or not.

Hi Chaps

I've been without internet for over a week and only just got back on line today. The good news is that there has been some work going on in the last couple of days. All the ground floor terrace wood pergolas have now been completed but only 1 person on site so maybe just a carpenter. I will try and get some photos for you Lee in the next couple of days. It has been raining a lot recently and it is very very muddy!
