I have seen posts in the past saying how easy it is to book direct with the airlines on the Internet. Never would I consider it!! I book with Tom at IAH every time.



Booking direct is ok until something unexpected occurs, like a short notice reason to change the flight or the airline cancelling the flight which has just happened to my elderly Dad. Flying back to UK flight out of Ercan with Turkish airline booked September for 23rd December cancelled. No reason given just cancelled. A complete nightmare to deal with for connecting flights etc.



Thank goodness for Alan (the new boy) at IAH. He even rang me at 9.30 on a Sunday night to keep me updated with how things were working out. You might pay a bit more for service but you can’t pay enough for peace of mind. Lets face it travelling can be stressful enough.

Nothing beats personal recommendation. I agree with Cyprusgaz, when there's so much to lose it's worth a few extra quid for the peace of mind and having someone to turn to.

i booked a flight on line with Turkish Airlines but had to cancel, but despite plenty of promises - no refund..
