Well its 2009 and the 112 volunteers are entering a new phase of fund raising. WE are distributing over the next week or so Boxes. so if you see them any loose change will help. Remember what you donate today could save a life tomorrow. Thanks from Rocker

Had to use the service early hours of this morning. Cannot praise them all enough, swift response, lovely attitude which means a lot. I will certainly support any fund raising for them.

WE have 30 volunteers whom are trained to Paramedic Level and on call for any emergencies including Earthquakes etc. They have also been trained by the TRNC Civil Defence. We need donations for equipment and medical supplies. We also supply the 112 Ambulances with equipment. On top of that we run First Aid training courses and use a lot of equipment that has to be replaced. Shortly we start training another 30 and as most become volunteers we do not charge as they supply their time free. Finally non of us get any renumerations occassionally expenses for petrol/printing etc. The intention is is to have a first aider in every part of the TRNC. I hope this cover everything. 2008 we attended 4 fires, lost count of road traffic accidents and many training courses to ensure we are all fully up to date. WE are a mıx of Brits and Cyps and wear Orange uniforms and on our vehicles we have insignia TKOD which is a part of the road SAFETY ORGANİSATİON of the TRNC.All our members ar

Sorry ran out of space. All our volunteers are registerd with the Civil Defence and TKOD. WE also attend major Functions and activities especially for other charitable organisations. All this costs money hence the Fund Raising. We also have a annual Ball, quiz nights and quingo nights

we are in the final planning stages and this coming this monday we will finalise the details and on Tuesday I will put on Cyprus44 everything you need to know. Please be patient as planning things in the TRNC are not as simple as we wouldlike. Rocker

Yes, we are ok thanks. It was our friend became unwell, but a night in hospital put her right and we were very glad of the service. Hope you guys are ok and that you had a good new year. Same to everyone else on the board. Have a good one.

Adding to Rocker's postings, we are currently raffling a brand new scooter and helmet worth eight hundred pounds - tickets cost 10 YTL. The scooter and helmet were generously donated by Scootex who will also give instruction on how to drive the scooter.

We recently purchased five thousand pounds worth of equipment from the UK for the ambulance and fire services which Dolphin very kindly shipped free of charge.

Everyone who has had personal dealings with the 112 ambulance service here sings their praises and we need to keep them supplied with up-to-date equipment so that they can continue their invaluable work.
